Maids were undone by a much younger and fitter Alchester side as they suffered a convincing 42-10 league defeat on Saturday.

Though the Maids pack were more than a match for their young opponents at the set pieces, Alchester posed an ever-present danger in the loose, racking up a total of eight tries.

Although second best for most of the contest, Maids were still unfortunate not to gain greater reward than a solitary try from scrum-half Tim Callaghan, plus a penalty and conversion from Dave Goodman.
