3rd XV Tour: Prague 2004

The 2004 Prague tour is now over.

Travel Arrangements

Friday 23rd April

• 10:30 Meet at the Rugby Club.
• 11:00 Tour officially starts. You must have either a beer or a good excuse at this point.
• 11:45 Coach from Maidenhead to Heathrow.
• 15:05 BA flight 856 from Heathrow to Prague.
• 17:55 Coach from the airport to the hotel.

Monday 26th April

• 10:00 Coach from the hotel to the airport.
• 12:40 BA flight 855 from Prague to Heathrow.
• 13:45 Coach from Heathrow to Maidenhead.
• Head for the Hand & Flowers.

Tour Law

Caveats

All these laws (and any subsequently introduced) are liable to change without prior warning at the discretion of the Judge. Ignorance of Tour Law is no excuse for breaking it, however, asking what the Law is is a finable offence.

Dress code

Travelling:

• Blazer or jacket (or jumper with Club Badge)
• Shirt
• Club tie
• Tour hat (no baseball caps)
• Fresh flower
• Smart trousers (no jeans)
• Smart shoes (no trainers)

Match day:

• Blazer or jacket (or jumper with Club Badge)
• Shirt
• Club tie
• Tour hat

• Loud shorts

Free Day:

• Tour shirt
• Dark trousers
• Tour hat

Tour baby, to be nominated, will be properly attired and accompanied by the tour baby sitter, to be nominated, at all times. Failure to comply will result in fines being imposed.

If the tour name badges have been produced, these must also be worn at all times. Failure to comply will result in fines being imposed.

At other times dress is at the Judge's discretion. Do not forget to bring your rugby kit.

Drinking Rules

• All drinks taken on an even hour (local time) will be held in the Right Hand with little finger outstretched
• All drinks taken on an uneven hour (local time) will be held in the LeftHand with little finger outstretched
• All pointing is to be carried out using the left elbow only

Other Activities

• Friday evening - Tour meal.
• Sunday - Exploring the sights (and more importantly tastes) of Prague.
• Monday afternoon - Rounding off the tour in the Hand & Flowers.

Cost and Fundraising

The tour cost is £300.

This will get you:

• Travel to and from Prague, including connections to and from airports.
• 3 nights accommodation on a B&B basis.
• Playing insurance
• A tour shirt

As usual, any other food, drink, souvenirs, etc you require will not come from the kitty so pick up some of the local currency, Czech Republic Koruny (crowns). The current exchange rate can be found at the Czech National Bank's website or XE.com's Universal Currency Converter.

Names in green denote virgins. As always, having toured with other teams doesn't count (however the touring pedegree of some of this year's "virgins" is spectacular). Gentlemen marked with a * are making separate travel arrangements due to other commitments but will be joining us for the majority of the tour.
